Yesterday, I took a trip out to Flowers@Oxford, an annual flower design show.
We spent the afternoon touring the exhibits, both outside and within the buildings of Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University and a very interesting demonstration by Per Benjamin – the heart arrangement in the middle of these pictures is his).
It has been a bit delayed, but we have finally released our new website – we really hope you’ll enjoy it.
So, what’s new? Well, the layout is a bit different but mostly it’s about being more functional. We’ve tried to make our shop easier to use and improve the shopping cart and check out experience. We have set up a better picture gallery, to which we are now rapidly adding lovely pictures of Junko’s arrangements, her students’ work and from our past exhibitions.
For events, we will now announce these under our news area and in this side bar area, so that you can spot any that are upcoming, including Japanese cultural and Ikebana events that other people are holding. And then post event reports will also be stored in the same area, so you’ll be able to find information about our past events easily.
We have also created a way for you to sign up for email newsletters – we promise not more than one or two each month and we will never share your email address. This means that you can keep up to date with events’ announcements, shop updates about new stock or special deals and general news from the world of Ikebana.
Although we have worked hard to make our website function properly, it is possible we have missed something, or got it wrong somewhere. If you have any feedback, good or bad, we’d be very pleased to have you contact us.
